43 Chinese mobile apps were banned in India on 24 November 2020. The Government of India said that the reason was the activities by Chinese apps that had the potential to hamper India’s sovereignty, integrity, defense, security, and public order. After the Chinese app ban, these apps were banned when the order has gone along with the Ministry of Information Technology when receiving comprehensive reports from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center. The Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed this with an announcement. India blocked 59 Chinese apps in the month of June, and besides that 118 more apps were banned in the month of September. Apps like Tiktok, PubG, UC Browser, etc banned from play stores, and the functioning of these apps is also stopped.
